Many animals live in the canopy for their shelter.

They live in the trees to avoid predators on the forest floor.

They eat the fruits and seeds from the trees.

Sloths by Sage

Sloths are slow moving animals. Their habitat is the canopy(canopy is short for treetops). Sloths are nocturnal, which means that they sleep all day but not at night. Sloths are about 2 feet tall and have brown and slightly green fur. Their brown and green fur helps them camouflage. They live upside-down for almost their whole life but not their whole life.

Toucans are colorful, big, soft, and feathery They have long beaks, and they have a long tail. Toucans are birds. They eat fruit, bird eggs, insects, and tree frogs.They can get to be 20 inches. They can get to be 3.4 oz. to 1.9 lbs. They swallow fruit whole. Males are a little bit bigger than females. They eat other bird eggs. Their beaks are huge and they are colorful.

Spider Monkeys by Makayla

Spider Monkeys are five feet tall. They weigh about 100 pounds. They live in the rainforest. Spider Monkeys eat leaves, fruit, seeds, nuts, grass, roots, eggs, and insects. They use their tail like am extra arm. They live up to 45 years and they are fast!

Bats are mammals. If they go in the sun they die. They eat fruit and they store fat for the winter.
Their shelter is trees. The smallest bat is the Bumblebee bat, but it died by from a nose disease.
The Bumblebee bat weighed less then a penny.
